Connery returned for a last official reprisal of his role as 007 in Diamods are Forever, a rather action-oriented film, focussing on Bond and Blofeld, yet not taking into account what happened in the previous part.

Connery delivers a routine performance, nothing special. The only remarkable elements of the movie would perhaps be the title song, again sung by Shirley Bassey, and the presence of a gay assassin couple, a strange contrast to the ever-straight 007.
