Helen Holtom

Born in Aberdeen, Scotland in 1979. I am currently reading English Literature MA Honours at the University of Edinburgh. I have special interest in the theatre and drama and within this the works and representation of marginal groups. This has led me to discover the dramatic works of Amiri Baraka and Ntozake Shange, in which roles of identity and gender are called to question. I am presently an Erasmus student in Berlin and feel lucky to be living in such an energetic and diverse city. It provides inspiration for my love of photography and of course my learning of German. The city has so captivated me that I am thinking of ways to make it my home for the future!
