Anna Katharina Otzen

Born 1973 in Africa, Anna Katharina Otzen spent eight of her first twelve years in Malawi and in Zimbabwe, growing up bilingually. After having finished her senior school in Berlin, she started to study English / American Studies and Neue deutsche Literatur in 1995 at the Humboldt University in Berlin. Her main focuses lie on methodical approaches as intertextuality and on prose and especially poetry of 20th century. Alongside working as organizer of the WiP Colloquium at the Institute for American Studies, she initiated and arranged the first Works in Progress Symposia at the Humboldt University. She will start preparing her MA Thesis beginning of next term.
