Afro-German Identity: A Diasporic Literature
The paper will focus upon aspects of literary and cultural/political interchange between the Afro-German and Afro-American communities, particularly exchanges involving the work of various U.S. Black Feminist traditions. This example of transnational communication will be framed as one of various modes of Black diasporic cultural and political contact maintained by the Afro-German community.
