Kim Förster
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

Born 06.10.1973, he studied English and Geography at Westfälische-Wilhelms-Universität Münster (1995 - 1996) and Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (1997 - 2002). Was an exchange student at University of Toronto (1999/ 2000) with a focus on literary and cultural theory, theories of the sign, urban and critical geography, and popular culture. Wrote his thesis on "Literarische Landschaften. Über die Repräsentation von urbanen Räumen in Paul Austers The New York Trilogy", which will be published soon in a shortened version. Passed the Erstes Staatsexamen in December 2002. Works on concepts of text and space, on urban landscapes, including the production and appropriation of urban space, as well as on literary and artistic representations of everyday life. Is currently involved in co-editorial contributions for the Berlin-based magazine An Architektur. Produktion und Gebrauch gebauter Umwelt [www.anarchitektur.com].
