Hannes Schaser
Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin

Currently I am a graduate student in American Studies, French, and Business Administration at Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. My main interest lies in literary and cultural studies, and especially with social constructionist theories and constructions of reality in both 'fictional' and 'non-fictional' texts. During the academic year 2001/2002 I studied at Georgetown University, Washington, D.C., where I had the opportunity to delve into the visual arts and especially to academically explore film, one of my greater passions.

At Humboldt I am a member of the Cinema Club and of the Fachschaftsinitiative Anglistik/Amerikanistik.

Before taking up my studies I worked with a German bank as an apprentice and absolved my civil service as a consciencious objector with the Red Cross's rescue squad.

Oh, yes, and then I was born, back in the seventies, back in Transylvania/Romania.
