The Man With the Golden Gun (1974)
Bond Actor: Roger Moore
Directed by Guy Hamilton
Music by John Barry
Bond's antagonists had thus far always been megalomaniacs, people aiming for something like world dominion. This time, however, the bad guy was to be someone much more similar to Bond, another assassin, a killer, a private one, not sanctioned by the British Government.
This gives room for a contrast between the two men, for a competition and a true duel - this is Moores' most classic and deserving role, yet the title song may be the worst of the series.
